Taking SCARY out of used bikes, one bike at a time.

I found the derailleur pulleys all bent up. I tried to bend them back, but it was better to replace them. This has been an issue before and can’t be fixed. The derailleur pulley hangs out and is open to being hit.
Why is it so important? The pulleys need to be in line with the cog set for shifting to be smooth and accurate. If bent, this alignment will compromise the shifting.
So yes, the added cost to replace to get this bike in smooth working order just needed to happen. The old derailleur is now parted out.
