The Shimano Ultegra ST-6510 shifter is a key component from the 9-speed era of road cycling, and it holds a significant place in Shimano’s history. These levers, which were part of the 6500-series Ultegra groupset of the late 1990s and early 2000s, were the last of their kind to feature the externally routed shift cables, a defining characteristic of that generation.
These “STI” (Shimano Total Integration) levers integrated both shifting and braking into a single, ergonomic unit, a technology that revolutionized road bike controls. The “2/3 x 9-speed” designation means the front shifter is compatible with both double and triple cranksets, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of road, touring, and cyclocross bikes. At the time of its release, the ST-6510 offered a perfect balance of performance and value, incorporating much of the high-end technology from the Dura-Ace 7700 series but at a more accessible price point. Its dual-pivot brake design provided powerful and reliable stopping force.

Shipping information:
I ship USPS Ground. I do have a video to help in putting back together. I try to keep it simple. It will be packed very well, but if you see any damage to the box or Part, keep the box and packing material plus, take pictures. I do insure all parts that are shipped. In addition, if shipped out of Colorado, there is no Sales Tax. You can also combine shipping with multiple items.
