Description

WTB Rocket Comp 142mm Thick Padding Bike Saddle MTB Trail Touring Unisex Seat

Has been inspected. Ready to be used.

The WTB Rocket Comp 142mm saddle is designed to be compatible with any bicycle seatpost that uses a standard rail clamping system.

Here are the key details about the saddle’s rails:

  • Rail Material: The “Comp” version of the WTB Rocket saddle typically comes with steel or chromoly rails. These are durable, round, and budget-friendly.
  • Rail Diameter: The rails are a standard 7x7mm round diameter. This is the most common size for bicycle saddles.

In summary, this saddle is compatible with:

  • Any standard seatpost: This includes most seatposts found on mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, and hybrid bikes.
  • Two-bolt micro-adjust seatposts: These posts hold the rails with two bolts, allowing for fine-tuned tilt adjustments.
  • Single-bolt seatposts: Many older and simpler seatposts use a single bolt that tightens a clamp around the rails.
  • Dropper posts: The saddle is fully compatible with dropper seatposts, as long as the dropper post uses a standard rail clamping mechanism.

It is NOT compatible with:

  • Seatposts designed for oval-shaped rails: Some high-end saddles, particularly those with carbon rails, use a larger, oval-shaped rail (e.g., 7x9mm). This saddle’s round rails would not fit securely in a clamp designed for oval rails.
  • Integrated seatposts (ISP): These are part of the frame itself and do not use a clamp-on saddle.

Essentially, if your seatpost has a standard clamp that holds two parallel rails, the WTB Rocket Comp saddle will fit.

A little about the seller:

I’ve been in the cycling industry for more than 30 years (I know, that makes me old!). I’ve been a professional bicycle mechanic for most of those years, including working locally at Lee’s Cyclery before they became Trek Stores. Now I work from home as a Customer Success Manager for a software team. But I still love fixing up and working on bikes and riding them too!

Purchase from me with peace of mind. Not only can you trust my years of experience, but I will also fit you for the bike and provide any mechanical insight at the time of purchase.

Shipping information:

I ship USPS Ground.  I try to keep it simple. It will be packed very well, but if you see any damage to the box or Part, keep the box and packing material plus, take pictures. I do insure all parts that are shipped. In addition, if shipped out of Colorado, there is no Sales Tax. You can also combine shipping with multiple items.
