How I Ceramic Coated My Bicycle
I recently gave my beloved bicycle a full detailing and a fresh ceramic coating, and the results are incredible. The process began with a thorough cleaning to remove every speck of dirt and grime from the frame. I used a specialized degreaser to tackle the drivetrain and then washed the entire bike with a pH-neutral soap. After rinsing and drying, I used a clay bar to pick up any remaining contaminants, leaving the surface smooth as glass. The next step was crucial: a light polish to remove minor scratches and prepare the clear coat for the ceramic application. Once the frame was perfectly prepped, I carefully applied the ceramic coating panel by panel, buffing it to a brilliant, deep shine. The coating has made the frame incredibly slick, so mud and dirt just slide right off, and it’s protected from UV damage. Now, my bike not only looks amazing, but it’s also so much easier to keep clean.
